Christmas in July: Time to Book Your European Christmas Market River Cruise

If you're looking to experience the joy and excitement of European Christmas markets in a unique way, then a Christmas market river cruise is just what you need. In this blog post, I'll dive into why you should consider a Christmas market cruise, explore the exciting itineraries offered by AmaWaterways and Emerald Waterways, and explain why these popular cruise lines are perfect for your holiday getaway.

Why Choose a Christmas Market Cruise

Imagine immersing yourself in the festive spirit of European Christmas markets while enjoying all the comforts and luxury of a river cruise. It's the best of both worlds! You'll get to explore traditional markets filled with charming stalls, delicious treats, and unique crafts. Enjoy a mug of mulled wine while you admire all of the local handicrafts. Plus, the cheerful atmosphere and holiday decorations will make your heart soar.

Why Ama and Emerald

Here's why AmaWaterways and Emerald Waterways should be at the top of your list:

  1. Expert Guides and Local Knowledge: These cruise lines have experienced staff and local guides who know their stuff. They'll provide fascinating insights into the history and traditions of each destination, making your trip even more meaningful.

  2. Excursions Included: With AmaWaterways and Emerald Waterways, you won't have to worry about missing out. They offer a variety of inclusive shore excursions, tailored to different interests. So, whether you're into history, culture, or simply exploring, there's something for everyone. This can be a tremendous cost savings over other river cruise lines.

  3. Comfort and Luxury: Prepare to be pampered! Both AmaWaterways and Emerald Waterways offer luxurious accommodations, top-notch amenities, and mouthwatering cuisine. You'll be able to relax and soak in the stunning views while being treated like royalty.

Next Steps

I should warn you — from looking at my booking software, Emerald doesn’t have much availability for their Christmas cruises this year. Both cruise lines are great but I’m sure you are curious about the differences. AmaWaterways hosts fewer passengers than Emerald. Emerald’s demographic tends to skew a little younger (but not much). Oh, and Emerald’s swimming pool turns into a movie theatre at night! The great thing about both lines is that all your activities and tours are included. This is very different from Viking. (I also sell Viking but have a preference for Ama and Emerald.) Ready to book? Please contact me!
