London Hotels with Two Queen Beds in One Room
London Hotels with Two Queen Beds in One Room
Let me start by saying that it is very difficult to find London hotels with two Queen beds in one room that will comfortably fit a family of four. London hotels just aren’t built this way. In fact, most European hotels aren’t built this way. One of the hardest parts of my job as a travel advisor is helping clients understand this.
In comparison to America, things in Europe are just…smaller.
HOWEVER…I do have some tricks up my sleeve. There are a few properties out of the thousands of London hotels with two Queen beds in one room for a family of four. Not surprisingly, many of these rooms are offered by American chains. Let me give you some options.
If you find this post helpful, you can thank me by letting me book the hotel for you! Just click the big orange button and submit your details. Plus I lived in London for 11 years so if you are planning a trip to London, I can help you with other things too….airport transfers, private tours, group tours. day trips outside of London, Harry Potter activities, travel insurance and more. I know pretty much all the museums, tours, and day trips. (Think Stonehenge, Bath, the Cotswolds, Windsor Castle, and more.) After so many years as an American expat in London, London is really my specialty! So please let me know how I can help you.
By booking your hotel through me, you’re supporting a small business—and a woman-owned business to boot!—instead of a faceless corporation. Thank you in advance for your support.
Note that I have only listed London hotels below that have clearly stated that the beds are Queen-sized. UK double beds are smaller than US Queen size beds. (UK doubles are more similar to US full size mattresses. UK King size is similar to US Queen size.) Also, I’ve specifically chosen situations where the two Queen beds are in one hotel room, not in connecting rooms. (If connecting rooms are of interest, let me know. As a Virtuoso travel advisor, I’m able to guarantee connecting rooms at many properties.)
What’s Travel Advisor Magic?
You’ll notice that I reference “travel advisor magic” a few times in the list of London hotels with two Queen beds below. Travel advisor magic is when I am able to secure clients a welcome gift, complimentary breakfast, priority for upgrade, a hotel credit and other amenities. To explain the economics here, the hotel industry is losing 30% to sites like Expedia. Thus the travel industry will always make it worth your while to book 4.5 and 5 star hotels through a travel advisor like me as we do not take 30%!
OK, here’s my list…
London Hotels with Two Queen Beds: My Top Picks
The Stafford: If you are looking for London hotels with two Queen beds, check out The Stafford’s Double Double room. The description specifically mentions two queen beds. The five star Stafford London is situated in the heart of St. James‘s/Piccadilly area; with direct access to Green Park, and a quick walk away from Buckingham Palace, St. James's Park, London's theatre district and iconic shopping destinations like Fortnum and Mason, Bond Street and Jermyn Street. This is a Virtuoso hotel so I can really VIP your stay.
Antidote Travel VIP Perks at The Stafford

Stays of 5+ nights will also receive:

Early check-In/late check-out, subject to availability
1 Hotel Mayfair, Mayfair: Look for the room specifically called Two Queens. I like this part of town. You’re right by Green Park and Fortnum & Mason, one of my favorite places to buy souvenirs. So many teas and biscuts!
Bankside Hotel, South Bank. Look for the Generous Guest Room, Two Queens. I love the scenic location of this “South of the River” hotel. It’s also just a short walk to Southwark tube. Plus, the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe are close as well. Honestly, walking along the south bank of the Thames is the best thing ever. This is one of my top favorite options for anyone looking for London hotels with two Queen beds.

DoubleTree by Hilton London Kensington, Kensington. Look for the Two Queen Beds Deluxe Room. This is a value-priced choice if you are looking for London hotels with 2 Queen beds in one room. Personally, I’m not a huge fan of Kensington for tourists — it’s on the west side of London so you’ll spend all your time on the tube — but sometimes the price is, indeed, right. If you are sitting on a lot of Hilton hotel points, this is a great way to use them.
Hilton London Metropole, Edgware Road. Look for the Two Queen Bed Superior Rooms. This is not my favorite part of London. But the pricing might be right for some and I get that! And honestly, if you like Lebanese food, Edgware Road is where it’s at. (There are a number of great shawarma places.) Note I also find Edgware Road tube station to be very very confusing for newcomers to London. I think you are getting my message. This is not my favorite choice.
BVLGARI Hotel London: Look for the Executive Double room. The description specifically refers to two Queen beds. I know the Sales Manager at the BVLGARI personally and just had breakfast with him here in Florida the other week. This hotel is perfectly located for Harrods’s and Knightsbridge. It is also a Virtuoso property so if you are looking for a very very luxury London hotel with two Queen beds, I can VIP your stay.

Hotel Indigo, Kensington. Look for the Premium Queen Room with two Queen beds. This is a nice part of town to stay in for families. You’re right by Earl’s Court tube. It’s a little too far west for me if your goal is to see things like the British Museum, Tower of London, and Borough Market, but it’s an area popular with tourists.
The Langham, Marylebone. If you need a luxury London hotel with two Queen beds, look for the Family Room. I am a Langham Couture member which means I can work some amazing travel advisor magic for you here. I love how central The Langham is. This is definitely a 5 star option. I love the location and how convenient it is to shopping. If you want to be close to everything, this is a great option. The Langham is also renowned for its dining options, particularly the award-winning Roux at The Landau and the afternoon tea served in the elegant Palm Court.

The Mayfair, of course located in London’s Mayfair. Look for the Family Room if you need two Queen beds in one room.
Page8 Page Hotels, Covent Garden: The Family Room has two Queen beds.
Pan-Pacific, Shoreditch. Look for the Double-Double if you need a London hotel with two Queen beds in one room. Despite the Double in the name, the description clarifies that these are Queen beds. This is a great location if you are traveling with older teens. Just east of here is very hip and trendy—lots of restaurants. I am a Pan Pacific Reserve travel advisor, which means I can add my travel advisor magic. Shoreditch is a great location if you are traveling with older teens. It’s very hip and fun.

St. Ermin’s Hotel, St. James, Look for the Family Suite if you need a London hotel with 2 Queen beds. This is a Marriott Stars & Luminous property where I can work my travel advisor magic for you. This is a superb location for sightseeing at Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. I also love this room because there are two bathrooms!! So this is great if you are traveling with tweens/teens. It also has a daybed of sorts if you need a bed for a 5th person. This is probably my favorite option for anyone looking for London hotels with 2 Queen beds in one room.

St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel. Look for the Superior Family Room, Two Queen Beds. This is a Marriott Stars & Luminous property where I can work my travel advisor magic for you. This location on the Northern Line, right by Kings Cross Station, makes it very easy to get around London. The hotel has a lot of character but do bear in mind that this is a very busy part of London given its proximity to the train station. While the hotel has lots of character, I would probably only recommend this for families with older kids. It’s just too busy. It doesn’t feel neighborhood-y enough for me, and I think that’s one of the great joys of London — exploring the neighborhoods.

The Trafalgar St. James, London: Look for the Nelson Double Queen Room. I just put a family here recently who wanted a London hotel with two Queen beds in one room and they loved it. I love this location because you are right in the thick of things — it doesn’t get much more central than Trafalgar Square! You are super close to Chinatown, Leicester Square, and Covent Garden too. The National Gallery and the National Portrait Gallery are a short walk from the property. This is a great choice for families of four who all want to stay in one room and be very very central. The concierge and staff are also very responsive and helpful.
Double Tree Islington: This hotel is not in my favorite location — it’s on a busy road halfway between Angel and Kings Cross tube stations — but if you are on a budget and looking for a London hotel with two Queen beds in one room, it’s a decent option. In fact, I even stayed here for a few nights before I moved back to the US because it was convenient to my old flat. What I do like is that there are plenty of buses on Pentonville Road to help you get around, and if you don’t mind a little walk, there are plenty of restaurants, pubs and shops around Angel.
