Totally Boring Reminder about Travel Insurance…
Before I dive in, you probably saw the news yesterday about the IT issues that shut down flights all over the world. This is a great example of why you should have travel insurance! If you had travel insurance yesterday, you could have stayed in a hotel and had a nice meal rather than camping out on the floor of the airport. Plus you would have been reimbursed for any prepaid non-refundable amounts.
I know we like to assume that our trips will go well but remember, the airlines are always outside of your control. If you think that your credit card insurance will cover you, please verify the coverage levels now. Usually specific travel insurance policies have better coverage than credit card insurance. (I always recommend $1,000,000 in evacuation/repatriation coverage and $100,000 in sickness and medical coverage.) Also, credit card travel insurance is generally secondary insurance, not primary, meaning that you may need to file a claim for lost luggage through your homeowner’s insurance first before your credit card insurance will help you.

7 Night Alaskan Cruise, Seattle to British Columbia
The cruise travels from Seattle, Washington to Victoria, British Columbia, with stops in Alaska. Passengers will visit Ketchikan, Sitka, Endicott Arm, Juneau, and Victoria. Onboard activities include bumper cars, a skydiving simulator, and rock climbing. Passengers can also enjoy meals prepared by celebrity chefs. I love cruises for multi-gen families because everyone can do their own thing during the day but meet up in the evening for dinner! And when you’re tired, your bed is right there!
Vietnam Family Adventure: 12 days, Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City
Vietnam is one of my favorite places. Gifted with a staggering abundance of flavourful food, fascinating culture, untouched nature, and disarmingly friendly people, Vietnam has more than earned its rep as one of the world’s most popular travel destinations. This fun-focused family trip packs as much of the good stuff into 12 days as humanly possible – including cruising Halong Bay, exploring the Imperial Citadel, and even a boat trip to a floating market – yet still offers more than enough time to relax. 7 Night Greek Cruise
This itinerary starts in Athens before visiting Istanbul and Ephesus. It then returns to Greece with stops in Mykonos and Santorini. Greece is amazing in August and a cruise is a nice way to bop around the islands. I have many different Greek cruises available but most people want to hit Athens, Mykonos, and Santorini.
10 Day Family Tour of Italy
From Rome to Venice visiting 2 countries and 6 cities! Buckle up for a travel adventure, all the highlights and some surprises on this most exciting of Italy family trips. Learn how to make pizza like a local, discover your inner artist as you make your own Carnival mask in Venice, and dine with a count on his estate. How cool is that? This is a group family tour of Italy so everyone will make friends.
7 Night Italy, Spain and France Cruise
Hit multiple countries in one trip with this cruise from Rome. Visit Naples, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca before returning to Rome. This is a great cruise for introducing younger family members to Europe. I have many similar itineraries like this so just let me know what dates work best for you.
