How to Pull Off A Last Minute Trip to Italy or Greece This Summer

Yes, a last minute trip to Italy and/or Greece this summer is still possible! There are lots of ways to do this but at this stage, a group tour is going to be the fastest to organize and the most convenient. Now, I know what you are thinking. “I don’t want a group tour.” People say this to me a lot but when I really start to dive into this sentiment, I discover that they’ve never actually even been on a group tour of a foreign country before! Perception is not reality my friends. Today’s group tours are very different than that bus tour image you have in your mind.

Honestly, you will see so much more of a country on a group tour than you will on your own. There’s just something to be said about door-to-door transportation and having most of your days organized. Don’t knock it til you try it!!

Some tours include all your dinners. Some don’t. Some tours have lots of down time. Other tours are more go-go-go. Some tours attract older travelers. Some are geared towards younger travelers. Honestly, there’s a tour out there for everyone. Most of the tours I have to offer are small group tours too, with fewer than 24 travelers.

With a package tour, all you gotta do is show up. It’s that easy. And while I don’t like to sell on price, these tours can be incredible values.

Here are some Italy and Greece itineraries that are still available this summer. Want more options? Book a travel consultation with me!

Italy…

I have lots of different tours of Italy. Some cover the “greatest hits” like these below. Others dive into a particular part of Italy…like Northern Italy or Sicily or Perugia. There’s a tour for everyone…just get in touch with what you need! Here are some examples…

Iconic Italy, 14 Days Venice to Rome

Connect with some of the world’s greatest cultural highlights on a two-week exploration of Italy. Get in touch with the ancient past alongside an archaeologist amid the ash-preserved ruins of Pompeii, marvel at Renaissance treasures in iconic Venice and enchanting Florence, and stop and smell the lemons in the quaint cliff-side villages of the Amalfi Coast. La dolce vita is sweet indeed. This is a small group experience with a max number of 16 participants.

Italian Mosaic, 13 Days from Rome to Rome

Like the beautiful mosaics gracing the floors and walls of ancient Roman villas, we’ve brought together the most brilliant parts of Italy to create an impact with this visually stunning vacation. Hand selecting experiences from multiple regions of “the boot,” we’ve assembled an imaginative getaway with the brightest pieces of Rome, Florence, and Venice, plus the sultry Italian Riviera, the breezy Lake District, and the sunny coast of Campania. The pastel-tinted Cinque Terre fishing villages, the sparkling blue waters of Capri, and the lemon-tree-lined streets of Sorrento offer a vivid picture of Italy, while the pilgrimage destination of Assisi, the Roman ash preserved city of Pompeii, and the iconic Leaning Tower of Pisa provide just the right accents. Traveling north, south, coastal, and inland, this multi-hued tour of Italy is a picture-perfect montage of memories.

Classic Italy, 14 Days Naples to Venice

Think of Italy and a host of images comes to mind... the glories of Rome, taking shape in the now silent roars of the Colosseum, priceless works of art by Michelangelo and other famed Italian artists whose masterpieces eternally evoke awe in Europe's greatest museums. Classic Italy explores Venice, Florence, Rome, Pompeii, Tuscan hill towns, the Amalfi Coast and more... this tour features an after-hours guided visit to the Vatican Museums and is filled with art, architecture, and a taste of the "real" Italy.

Greece…

There is so much to do and see in this island nation. There are always the tours that hit Athens, Mykonos and Santorini, but there are also tours that include more islands and/or more Greek ruins. Let me know what you are in the market for and I will help you!
