Here are Nine Trips I Dream About

As a travel advisor, I spend a lot of time dreaming about the places I would go if I had the time AND the money. The great thing about this job is all the travel candy. The bad thing about this job is…all the travel candy! So many places, so little time. If you feel the same, let me help you with your next vacation. Book a complimentary vacation consultation here.

If I had unlimited time and unlimited money, here’s where I’d go and what I’d do on my next vacation…

La Mamounia, Marrakech, Morocco

Back in 2015, my friends and I rented a villa in Marrakesh, overlooking the grounds of La Mamounia. We quickly became obsessed and this was even before Inventing Anna hit Netflix. This hotel is simply stunning. The day I book a client into La Mamounia will be the day I know I’ve really made it as a travel advisor. This of course is a Virtuoso property and if you book it through me, I’ve got extra special stuff for you.

Las Ventanas al Paraiso, San Jose del Cabo, Mexico

Many years ago, my friends Lee & Matt got married in Cabo San Lucas. I flew over from London a few days early to hang out and brought my mom along with me. A stay at Las Ventanas was out of budget but we did manage a delicious lunch. Everyone at Las Ventanas looked vaguely famous. One of these days, I will make it back here for an actual stay. Las Ventanas is where I first encountered Otomi print and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. (The throw on the bed is an Otomi pattern.) Not only is this a Virtuoso property, but it’s also a Rosewood and my agency is Rosewood Elite! That means I can make sure you are treated like a rock star during your stay.

Belmond Champagne Barge

My host agency, the amazing Gifted Travel Network, recently invited Belmond in to speak with us and when they talked about their Champagne barge in France, I nearly fainted. How amazing would it be to travel through Champagne on a Belmond barge? Pretty amazing if you ask me. My agency is part of Belmond’s amazing Belmond Bellini program so there are good things in store for you if you book this through me.

Four Seasons Tented Camp, Chiang Rai, Thailand

If you’ve been following me long enough, you may know that I consider Thailand to be my spiritual home. I love it so much. Never gets boring for me. Next time I go back, I definitely want to spend a few nights in the Four Seasons Tented Camp in Chaing Rai. One cool thing about this property is that all of your excursions are included. Amazing! My agency is a Four Seasons Preferred Partner, which means I’ve got you covered. Let me VIP you.

Rocky Moutaineer Train Journey through Canada

I’m not as outdoorsy as I should be/used to be as a kid but I love trains!!! One of these days, I want to take the Rocky Mountaineer from Vancouver to Banff (or vice versa) and enjoy the scenery. (No worries about trying to sleep on the train. The train just gets you from A to B. You stop each night for a hotel stay!) If this sounds fun for you too, book a complimentary vacation consultation here.

The Venice-Simplon Orient Express

I want to enter a world of timeless glamour, where each carriage holds a new experience to be discovered. I want to be wined and dined in meticulously restored 1920s dining cars, before raising sparkling toasts in the iconic Bar Car '3674'. There are a number of different routes across Europe to consider. One of these days! This is a Belmond offering and my agency is Belmond Bellini which means you will be treated like the rock star that you are.

Dolomites Hut-to-Hut Hiking

This one is inspired by Rick Steves. I’m obsessed with Rick Steves! (If you don’t know who he is, you need to watch more PBS.) Rick went to Switzerland last summer and hiked from one mountain hut to the next and now I want to do it too! And I don’t even like hiking!! But I will hike for tasty snacks and a cold beer at the end of a long day. I have lots of different providers for this so if you’re interested in doing this to, book a complimentary vacation consultation here.

Hot Springs in Costa Rica

Since I booked The Springs in Costa Rica for a client earlier this year, I just can’t stop thinking about all those hot springs! Or the tubing. When I was a kid, we used to go river tubing in upstate New York and I loved it so much. I am hoping to get to Costa Rica next year, so maybe I will get a chance to visit this amazing hotel.

Kamalaya, Koh Samui

There was one point when I lived in London that I was so stressed out that I knew I had to check myself into some sort of wellness retreat. I discovered the amazing Kamalaya Koh Samui and life hasn’t been the same since. Nourishing food and amazing treatments in a beautiful setting. If you need a spa vacation that feels less clinical, this is the place for you!
