The Best Family Resorts in Palm Beach, Florida

The famous Worth Avenue Clock Tower in Palm Beach. This is a great public beach on Palm Beach island, right across the bridge from West Palm Beach.

Best Palm Beach Family Resorts

Looking for family resorts in Palm Beach? As a Palm Beach travel agent—I live in West Palm Beach—I am uniquely qualified to help you with this search! You name the 5 star hotel or resort in Palm Beach and I’ve been there multiple times and can speak from personal experience.

Palm Beach is more than just a glamorous getaway. With its great beaches, world-class dining, and endless activities, it’s the perfect spot for a family-friendly vacation filled with fun and relaxation. And shopping too! We have a great outlet mall!

What I love about Palm Beach is that it is a nearly year-round destination. The only time I would really stay away is mid-August to mid-September given the rainy season.

Otherwise, from thrilling water sports and golf to exploring the vibrant art scene and indulging in delicious treats, Palm Beach has something for everyone. Kids will love the excitement of the beach, while adults can unwind with a spa treatment or explore the shops on Worth Avenue. And let’s not forget the incredible dining options across Palm Beach island and also in West Palm Beach, just across the bridge.

As a Virtuoso travel advisor and a preferred-partner of many luxury hotels and resorts, I can VIP your stay at most 5 star family resorts in Palm Beach. This generally means priority for upgrade, breakfast for two, a hotel credit and more. If you’d like to book one of the properties below through me to get access to my perks and amenities, just click the orange button and fill out my form.

Now, let's dive into some of the best family resorts in Palm Beach.

View of The Breakers, Palm Beach from the Atlantic

The Breakers, Palm Beach

The Breakers is a Palm Beach icon, and for good reason. This stunning resort in Palm Beach has something for everyone in the family. Plus, the Breakers offers a variety of dining options, from casual to fine dining. For kids, there’s an arcade featuring more than 20 classic and contemporary games, as well as a video game lounge! Kids can also stay entertained on the mini-golf course and there’s an entire family Entertainment Center, an indoor and outdoor space solely devoted to kids’ activities. For a resort in Palm Beach, the kids’ programming menu is great. There are a few scheduled kid-friendly activities every day. This is a great Palm Beach resort for families who prefer a bit more of a formal environment.

Antidote Travel Amenities at The Breakers, Palm Beach

This is a Virtuoso property where I can VIP your stay. Amenities include upgrade on arrival, subject to availability; daily buffet breakfast for up to two guests per bedroom, served in the restaurant; $100 USD resort or hotel credit to be utilized during stay; and early check-In/late check-out, subject to availability. If you’re ready to book, submit your details here and I will be in touch!

View of the pool and beach at the Four Seasons, Palm Beach

Four Seasons Palm Beach

If you’re looking for family resorts in Palm Beach, The Four Seasons Palm Beach is a fantastic option. This elegant resort combines luxury with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Kids will love the kids' club and the pool, while adults can enjoy the spa or simply relax on the beach. The Four Seasons is also known for its exceptional dining and impeccable service. I also just love the design — it feels very bright and lively. Very Palm Beach in style! Activities include a kids' kitchen and a special "Kids for All Seasons" program for kids ages 4 to 12. As of this writing, kids under nine eat free! I think this is honestly one of if not the best options for anyone looking for a family resort in Palm Beach.

Antidote Travel VIP Amenities at Four Seasons Palm Beach

As a Four Seasons Preferred Partner, I can VIP your stay. What does this mean? Well, I can add breakfast for two to your room (either in the restaurant or through in-room dining!); a hotel credit of $100 or more, depending on the room type booked; and a room upgrade if available at check-in. If you’re ready to book, submit your details here and I will be in touch.

View of the beach and property at Eau Palm Beach

Eau Palm Beach

Eau Palm Beach is a stylish and sophisticated family resort in Palm Beach that kids love. There's a secure, staffed area dedicated just to kids! Children ages three to 12 are invited to Loggers, an immersive experience that lets kids tap into their creativity. The facility includes a mini theatre and virtual playground. Teens ages 13 to 17 will enjoy Hide Away, an all-new, innovative space devoted to gaming, movies and sports. Choose from Xbox, PlayStation or Nintendo games and sink into our comfortable wraparound seating for the ultimate gaming experience. There's also a 24 hour arcade and table tennis. Adults can relax by the pool, indulge in a spa treatment, or enjoy a delicious meal at one of the resort's restaurants. I love Eau Palm Beach but it’s a bit of a trek to Worth Avenue. It’s even further south than the Four Seasons.

View of the pool at the White Elephant, Palm Beach

The White Elephant Palm Beach

The White Elephant Palm Beach offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern luxury. This boutique hotel is perfect for families seeking a more intimate and personalized experience. While it may not have the same extensive kids' amenities as some of the larger resorts, its central location and stylish accommodations make it a great family-friendly choice. To be clear, this hotel is NOT on the beach. It’s really in the heart of Palm Beach island, not too far from the beach. Some of the rooms have kitchens, which makes this property a great choice for families. (You are also very close to Publix for grocery shopping.) There is a small pool but if pool-time is your thing, you will probably be better off at The Breakers, The Four Seasons, and Eau Palm Beach. But if you want to feel like you’re having a “staycation” and you have a car to get around, the suites here are a great family-friendly Palm Beach choice. The hotel's commitment to exceptional service ensures a memorable stay for the whole family. If you’re ready to book, submit your details here and I will be in touch!

View of the pool at the Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island

Palm Beach Marriott Hotel Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa

This hotel and resort is not located on Palm Beach island itself but rather the next island north, Singer Island. However, the resort has a great beach and pool and is just a short drive from the fancy shops of Palm Beach island. This is a family resort in Palm Beach that’s great for a long stay because it has in-room washers and dryers! It’s more of a condo stay, if that makes sense. The beach here isn’t as eroded as it is on Palm Beach, making it more spacious. The resort boasts a kids’ club, a waterslide and honestly, there’s really not a bad view because some rooms look out on Florida’s intracoastal (the inland waterway) and the others look out on the Atlantic ocean. This is a solid resort choice and one of the most wallet-friendly family resorts in Palm Beach. If being ON Palm Beach isn’t important to you and you’re willing to Uber or drive around, for a little R&R, Palm Beach Marriott Singer Island Beach Resort & Spa is a great option to consider.

The pool at the Singer Oceanfront Resort on Singer Island

The Singer Oceanfront Resort, Curio Collection by Hilton

Located on a beautiful four-mile stretch of sandy beach on Florida’s Singer Island, The Singer is located between the entertainment and nightlife of West Palm Beach and the beach town of Jupiter. This is a great option if you’re looking for a family resort in Palm Beach that won’t break the bank. The beach on Singer Island is great and the pool at this property is nice too. This is probably a better option for families with older teens. The pool at the Marriott on Singer Island is more of a kids’ vibe. What I like about Hilton properties in general is that they make it easy to guarantee connecting rooms.

Palm Beach Resorts I Do NOT Recommend for Families

You are going to see blog posts on the web that mention some of these properties. Please ignore them!! I have been to all these Palm Beach resorts and they are not great for kids.

  • Brazilian Court Palm Beach: It’s just a little too stuffy and formal. Older crowd.

  • The Ben in West Palm Beach: The price may be right but this hotel is frequented more by business people and bachelorette parties. (The hotel has a rooftop pool.) The bars are just too happening for kids. It’s a great place for lunch or dinner if you are exploring downtown West Palm Beach, but it’s still just not super kid-friendly. This is definitely not a family resort in Palm Beach. It’s more of a romantic getaway or mother-daughter trip.

  • The Colony Hotel Palm Beach: Too much of a scene. I think it would be hard for a family to relax here and there are stories of them not being nice to kids in the pool. The bar is happening though! This is not a Palm Beach family resort.

  • Amrit Ocean Resort: This is a beautiful resort but it is a wellness destination much more suited to mother-daughter trips and girlfriend getaways. It is not very kid-friendly. It has a large spa complex. The pool available to all guests is quite small.

Family-Friendly Things to Do in Palm Beach

Now that you’ve selected the best Palm Beach resort for your family, t it’s time to plan your other activities! Here are some great kid-friendly things to do in and around Palm Beach…

Manatee Lagoon: Manatee Lagoon – is a FREE Palm Beach County educational attraction with a dedicated area for viewing manatees up close. The 16,000-square-foot center features engaging, hands-on exhibits for visitors to learn all about these threatened and unique creatures as well as the natural wonders of the surrounding Lake Worth Lagoon. On cold winter days, the facility’s observation deck is the ideal spot to view manatee herds basking in the warm-water outflows from Florida Power & Light Company’s adjacent Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center.

Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society: Get up close with animals from around the world at this exciting zoo. The zoo houses hundreds of animals, many of them endangered, within 23-acres of lush tropical habitat.

Cox Science Center & Aquarium: Explore the wonders of science and marine life with interactive exhibits and hands-on activities. From massive dinosaurs to baby alligators, from robotics to 3D printing, from body parts to rocket ship parts, from coral preservation to Mangrove propagation, the Cox Science Center aspires to open every mind to science.

Rapids Water Park: Rapids Water Park is South Florida's largest water thrill park, boasting over 40 slides and attractions spread across 35 acres. It's a perfect place for families looking for a day of fun in the sun.

Lion Country Safari: Lion Country Safari is a unique opportunity to experience an African safari right here in Florida! This drive-through park allows you to encounter hundreds of animals in their natural habitats. I really love this place.

Loggerhead Marinelife Center: Loggerhead is a sea turtle research, rehabilitation, education and conservation center. Its facilities include a sea turtle hospital, a research laboratory, and exhibit areas including live sea turtles and other coastal creatures. If your kids love sea creatures, this is a great option!

Peanut Island: Peanut Island is a popular weekend trip for families in Palm Beach. This 80-acre tropical park is a favorite among boaters and those looking for a range of recreational activities. You can kayak, fish and snorkel in the clear waters of the surrounding Lake Worth Lagoon or simply enjoy a lazy beach day and picnic on one of the island’s guarded and unguarded swimming spots.

Private Boat Cruises: There are a ton of family-friendly private boat cruises to choose from. Many leave from the intracoastal docks in downtown West Palm Beach. Check out Visit Palm Beach for more information. You can also rent jet skis and small boats from the docks across from E.R. Bradley’s restaurant downtown.

Family Resorts Not Far from Palm Beach

I’m going to include two family resorts that are not in Palm Beach but are in South Florida and are worth a look. They both have great waterparks. A little unexpected for properties of this caliber!

The JW Marriott Turnberry has a huge pool, a lazy river, and a waterpark.

JW Marriott Turnberry

While not directly on the beach, the JW Marriott Turnberry in Aventura (south of Fort Lauderdale, north of Miami) offers a stunning family vacation experience. Its expansive waterpark is a highlight, featuring towering slides, a lazy river, and a wave pool for endless fun. This family resort also boasts a variety of on-site dining options, from casual eateries to fine dining experiences. For those seeking relaxation, the spa offers a range of rejuvenating treatments. With its luxurious accommodations, top-notch amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere, the JW Marriott Turnberry is an ideal resort for families. The resort is also close to the Aventura Mall for a little retail therapy.

We love a lazy river!! The Harborside Pool Club at The Boca Raton, a family-friendly resort in South Florida

The Boca Raton

The Boca Raton offers a world of luxury and entertainment for families. Its stunning beachfront location provides direct access to the ocean, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and water sports. For younger guests, the resort features a kids' club with engaging activities, a splash pad, and a pirate ship-themed play area. The Harborside Pool Club boasts a 450-foot lazy river, two water slides, and a FlowRider wave simulator for endless fun. With its luxurious accommodations, world-class amenities, and family-friendly atmosphere, The Boca Raton is an ideal resort for families considering a South Florida vacation. The Boca Raton is close enough to Palm Beach International Airport that I might actually consider it as one of the better family resorts in Palm Beach.

When Not to Come to Palm Beach

It is very rainy in August and September. Like torrential downpours with lightning. It is hurricane season, after all! So I would avoid coming to Palm Beach in August and September. Otherwise, the weather is pretty nice the rest of the year. Although occasionally in December and January, it gets a bit chilly (for us). In January, the average temperature is 75 degrees Fahrenheit, just to give you an idea!
